What is Damar Batu?
Damar Batu forms underground around the roots of the Shorea tree over many years. The resin naturally hardens into stone-like pieces. Local farmers carefully dig out the resin, remove mud and other impurities, and then sun-dry it to protect its natural aroma and properties. This traditional process helps keep the resin clean and suitable for many industrial and artisanal uses.
